Big Ben Lilliput Lane Collectable

Hand made and hand painted model of Big Ben. Completed in 1854, the bells of the Great Clock of Westminster rang across London for the first time on 31st May 1859 and Parliament had a special sitting to decide on a suitable name for the great hour bell. The most accepted version of how it got its name, was that it was named after Sir Benjamin Hall - who spoke at length about it at this special sitting of parliament and we have known it as Big Ben ever since.
